Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington has a variety of beautiful and spacious program sites available for troop and Service Unit use throughout the year. By scrolling through the site listings below, you can learn more about sites, including cost and availability.

Camp Arrowhead
Located in the Gorge near Stevenson, Washington, Camp Arrowhead has 260 acres, forest, meadows, trails, and a lake.
This program site is the summer home of Girl Scout Resident Camp and therefore not available for Girl Scout Troop or Service Unit use from mid-June through August.
Due to severe winter weather in the Columbia River Gorge, Camp Arrowhead is closed from November 21 until March 1.

The Infirmary and Guest House (Mazola) have flush toilets and showers. A 38’ x 46’ covered area is near the Lodge with 18 new picnic tables. |

There are four unit house areas: Tyhee, Klickitat, Tahoma, and Wa-Nee-Ya. Each area includes 9 cabins, 1 staff house, and a fire pit. The staff houses have refrigerators, range tops, showers, toilets, hand sinks, electricity, and hot water.

The Dalles House
An old house in a residential area in The Dalles, Oregon. Sleeping is on the floor (mattresses provided.) The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking and eating utensils. The restroom has a flush toilet and a shower. The house is maintained by volunteers in the surrounding area. When not in use for Girl Scout Troop meetings or Service Unit events, the house is available for year round use. This property is available for rental by registered Girl Scout members exculsively.

The Homestead
Located on the historically significant Creighton Homestead in Rhododendron, OR at the base of Mt. Hood, this winterized lodge accommodates 40. Sleeping is on the floor, either up or downstairs (mattresses provided). The main room has a fireplace (wood provided) and wall heaters up and downstairs. The kitchen has basic cooking and eating utensils for service of 40. Bathrooms have showers and flush toilets (both are ADA compliant). Also, a covered picnic area, covered play area, and tenting area are on site. Close to Mt. Hood skiing and snow park areas. Hiking and nature walks both on and off the property. This property is available for rental by registered Girl Scout members exculsively.
Program resources include:
Snow Play - Skiing, snowshoeing, tubing and sledding are available within a 15-mile drive. Call Mountain Tracks Ski Shop in Government Camp for ski and weather conditions. They also offer a discount to Girl Scouts who make rental equipment reservations in advance. Phone (503) 272-3380.
Nature Study - Hiking can be done both on and off the property. For off-property hikes, call the Mt. Hood Information Center, (503) 622-4822. They have current information on trails and conditions and can recommend the perfect hike for your group’s level of experience and interest. Maps and Snow Park information available as well. You can also visit their website at
www.mthood.info for other activities in the area. Or Go Off the Beaten Path and meet the oldest tree in our forest as you explore the Homestead old growth on a guided nature walk with the rangers. (Call 2 weeks in advance to book.)
Historical - Learn about the Creighton family who settled here in 1912 from on-site exhibits or tour the Mt. Hood Museum and Cultural Center in Government Camp, located at 88900 E Government Camp (admission is free). Call (503) 272-3301 for hours.

Mountaindale Program Center
Located off Sunset Highway in North Plains, Oregon. Mountaindale has 50 acres of woods filled with trails for hiking, native plants, birds and other wildlife. The large meadow is ideal for games, and a nearby pond is great for environmental study. Occupied mid-June to mid-August for Day Camp use. This property is available for rental by registered Girl Scout members exculsively.

An open-sided building primarily used for day activities. During warm weather it can be used for sleeping on a concrete floor. Seaside Girl Scout Cabin
Located in residential Seaside, Oregon just a few blocks from the beach. The house includes a kitchen and bathroom, although the bathroom does not include a shower. Sunset Empire Swimming Pool / Recreation Youth Center is directly across the street has showers available for use at a nominal fee. Sleeping is on the floor (mattresses provided).
The Girl Scout Cabin is maintained by volunteers. When not in use for Girl Scout Troop meetings or Service Unit events, the Girl Scout Cabin is available for use year round. This property is available for rental by registered Girl Scout members exculsively.

The Newport House
Located in residential Newport, Oregon just a few blocks from the beach and minutes from the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Fully stocked kitchen and bathroom (small shower included). Sleeping is on the floor, but mattresses are not provided.
The Girl Scout House is maintained by volunteers. When not in use for Girl Scout Troop meetings or Service Unit events, the Girl Scout Cabin is available for use year round.

Camp Whispering Winds
Located in the forested hills of Kings Valley, northwest of Philomath and Corvallis, the camp includes 220 acres and a central lake. This program site is the summer home of Girl Scout Resident Camp and therefore not available for Girl Scout Troop or Service Unit use from mid-June through July.

RICHARD'S LODGE (Winterized) |
This building has an open room for sleeping on the floor and a side room with four bunks. A wood stove heats the building. There is a kitchen, but equipment and utensils are not provided. Covered decks overlook the lake, and there is a covered area beneath the lodge for games, crafts, and other outside activities. |

Camp Cleawox
Located two miles south of Florence in the Oregon Dune National Recreation Area, the 47 acre site is situated on a freshwater lake. From June through August the site is home to a Girl Scout summer Resident Camp and therefore not available for Troop / Service Unit Reservations.

There is one bathroom and a shower, two small carpeted rooms, and a living room with a new hardware floor. There are 12 chairs and 2 tables. Sleeping on the floor, no mats provided. |

Camp Ruth Hyde
This 90 acre camp is about seven miles west of Grants Pass. There is a covered table area, a large barbeque, volleyball court, fir circle, and several campsites. Each campsite has latrines and water. Two storage rooms also include assorted equipment and refrigerators, and there is also an air-conditioned first-aid room. Throughout the camp is electricity and a PA system. Also on the property is a mobile home that includes a flush toilet, electricity, and a kitchen.

Tomlin Forest Camp
The 200 acre camp is located about 15 minutes from Medford, Oregon. There is an open-air shelter with picnic tables and a barbeque, and primitive camping sites with latrines, electricity, and running water. There is a beautiful view of Mt. McLoughlin, and is an excellent site for day hikes, nature study, mountain biking, and more. There is also a small outdoor stage for performances and other activities. This property is available for rental by registered Girl Scout members exculsively.

Camp Low Echo
This camp is located on Lake of the Woods at the foot of Mt. McLoughlin. Because of severe weather, the camp is generally open May through September.
Beaver Lodge features a fully equipped commercial kitchen, a dining area for 100, and two fireplaces. There are three 2-room cabins near the lodge for sleeping quarters, a first aid cabin, director’s office, and camp store.
Four unit areas include 4 – 5 cabins, housing a relative total of 130 people. A shower house is nearby with 8 hot shower stalls, and each area includes a latrine, central light, and a fire pit.
The camp may be used for swimming, fishing, hiking, boating, cross-country skiing, and even ice skating when the lake freezes. Mountain biking, volleyball, and tetherball are also great activities at this camp.

Winema Program Center
Includes an auditorium with full kitchen, restrooms, shower, and fireplace. It is available for day use, workshops, and is perfect for a troop’s first overnight experience. A fire station is nearby, and there is a large fenced area that can serve as an activity center or outdoor game field.
