 Classic Camp

Classic Camp is the traditional overnight camp experience! Swimming, campfires, cookouts, paddling on the lake, games, crafts, songs and more! Each unit of girls plans their week of activities together with additional opportunities to choose activities individually. Each grade level has the opportunity to complete steps toward earning a Girl Scout badge, or even fully complete a badge!

Campers entering grades 4 and above will also get to choose skills to focus on throughout the session. This approach allows campers to get to know their instructors, progressively build skills and gain confidence each day. The activities offered will vary by week.

Experience classic camp as a troop or family group, with these unique programs:

Family Day at Overnight Camp

Try camp on for the day! Camp staff will lead swimming, boating, crafts and a nature activity. Whether you’re a first-time camper or a pro, this is a great way to get a glimpse of the overnight camp experience. Lunch and a snack are provided. Family Day is available for girls (and boys!) entering grades 1-12. To keep this session affordable, this program does not include a camp t-shirt (one can be purchased at the Trading Post).

Core Camp

Enjoy a few days of overnight camp with your Girl Scout troop. Multiple troops live together in the same unit, and troop leaders actively participate in camp with girls. Overnight camp staff lead swimming, boating, crafts and nature activities. Archery is available for girls entering grades 4 and up. Core Camp is available for girls entering grades 1-12.

August 19-22 Cost: $180/person
She and Me

Experience the wonder of camp with your girl! Make memories as you enjoy staff-led swimming, boating, crafts, nature activities and campfires. She and Me is a great way to try overnight camp for the first time. Available for girls entering grades 1-12 with a female adult.

August 5-7 Cost: $155/person

 Specialty Camp

With specialty camp, girls focus on a particular skill, expedition or experience in addition to the classic camp activities. Review the options below with your camper to see if a specialty camp is right for her!

Ocean Explorers
Explore the ocean beaches around Camp Cleawox. Discover the abundance of life in tide pools, climb dunes and visit the Oregon Coast Aquarium.

Ride the Coast
Discover the Oregon coast! Take an exciting dune buggy ride, go for a horseback ride on the beach and give sandboarding a try.

Board the Coast
Love to ride? Try all of the board sports Camp Cleawox has to offer! Get ready for sandboarding, windsurfing and stand-up paddle boarding.

 Leadership Programs

Leadership programs are available for girls entering grades 9-12. These programs help develop skills and offer experience needed to be a camp counselor. Girls get to practice working directly with campers and camp staff as they learn to plan and facilitate activities, assess campers’ needs, and develop leadership and outdoor skills. Have your camper answer these  Leadership Readiness Questions to see if she's ready for a Leadership program. Then review the options below with your camper to see which leadership program is right for her. 

Entering Grades 9-12

Outdoor Leader
Discover your leadership potential! Explore your leadership skills and style while you learn about group dynamics and what it means to be a camp leader. Help lead activities for younger girl groups at camp!

This CIT session is full for the summer of 2018. Please check back in November regarding CIT applications for the summer of 2019!

Counselor-in-Training (CIT)
Want to be a camp counselor? Develop the skills and experience needed to make your dream a reality! Learn to plan and facilitate activities and develop leadership and outdoor skills. Practice working directly with campers and staff. 

July 22-August 17 Cost: $860/785/715

While this program runs July 22-August 17, campers will go home Friday, August 3 at 2:30 pm and return to camp Sunday, August 5 at 2:30 pm.

New this year:

Due to limited space, high demand for CIT/WIT programs and our desire to provide the highest quality leadership experience, an application process has been implemented for these sessions. These sessions are designed for those who have a love for camp and have demonstrated a strong desire to expand their leadership skills working with children.

Entering Grades 11-12 or Entering College

Junior Counselor

Work at camp! Get paid as you continue to develop your leadership skills and work toward becoming a unit counselor. Work in all aspects of camp including sleeping units, program areas, and assisting in the camp kitchen and administrative office. Prerequisite: CIT or WIT.
