Location: Portland Service Center

"Learn the basics of Improvisational Tribal Style (ITS) Belly Dance. This class will be taught by The Marissa Mission, a non-profit youth empowerment program that utilizes this dance, along with yoga and group discussion, to facilitate health and happiness in young people's lives. ITS Belly Dance is a unique art form inspired by dances from the Middle East and Romani (Gypsy) Trail. It creates a solid bond between dancers without saying a word. In addition to learning basic belly dance vocabulary, we'll also learn about creating formations and cues to create an improvisational yet synchronized dance format."
