Volunteer Training

This course invites volunteers to come learn skills and tips to becoming a great leader and share their ideas and successes with other volunteers! This classroom or at home training covers the specific information needed to lead or prepare to lead girls in each of the Girl Scout Cadette grade level. The Volunteer Essentials handbook will be used as a resource and tool, so prepare to have it handy. Some of the topics that will be covered in this course are Cadette characteristics, troop government, girl/adult partnership, planning with girls, troop meetings, program resources, recognitions/insignia/ceremonies.
While reviewing these course materials at home can be convenient and easy, we recommend you join us in the classroom for training. Not only do you get the benefit of an experienced GSOSW council trainer, you have the opportunity to network with other leaders working with the same grade level.
Grade level trainings are recommended for all leaders working with girls.

Effective 5/22/17, the fee for this training will increase to $8 to include the late registration fee.
