Visit the "banana belt" of the southern Oregon coast. Enjoy hiking, camping, beach combing and adventure as you explore the area. Sights include: Jedediah Smith Redwoods, Harris Beach and Cape Blanco State Parks. Other possibilities include: kayaking, jet boat trip, aquarium tour and much more! Registered girls will meet for a phone conference prior to the trip to design the rest of their experience. Estimated base cost per girl is $250. Price may increase depending on what girls decide to do while there. Registration is for the initial $100. Registered girls will receive application to complete. Remainder of fees due by 6/15/18. Financial assistance will be available via application.

All meals and snacks will be provided during the trip. If you have special dietary requirements please share with your chaperone prior to the trip.

Bring camping gear including: sleeping bag, pillow, pad, flashlight, refillable water bottle, clothing, toiletries, ditty bag (mesh bag with reusable plate, silverware, cup and bowl), comfortable walking shoes and/or hiking shoes, sandals (not flip flops), bathing suit etc. A detailed packing list will be sent to all participants prior to the trip.

Activity Requirements & Ratio
Girls do not need to be accompanied by an adult. A couple of registered, background checked, trained and experienced adult chaperones needed to guide the group.

Adults staying to meet the adult-to-girl ratio are required to have a current Girl Scout membership and have an eligible background check (ratios can be found in 2016/2017 Volunteer Essentials on page 65). To be an approved volunteer you are required to have a current Girl Scout membership and have an eligible background check to attend. Volunteer trainings required for all adults (GS101; Troop Safety and VE Modules or Volunteer Essentials in Action; Grade-Level Training). Trainings that at least one adult must have: Day Trips; Indoor Overnights
