Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. You'll develop leadership skills while meeting other girls and participating in really fun events! The Girl Scout Promise and Law is the way we agree to act every day toward one another and other people, and the Girl Scout Law outlines a way to act towards one another and the world.

Girl Scout annual membership dues are $12 and membership is from October 1 - September 30. To ensure every one can particpate, financial assistance is available.

 Ways to Participate in Girl Scouts

There are several ways to participate in Girl Scouts:

• Join a Troop
  Become a member by filling out the Girl Registration Form and mailing it with the $12 annual membership dues to the closest service center. A volunteer will get in touch with you about troop availability in your area. Troops are run by volunteers, so joining does not guarantee placement in a troop. Find out how you can become a troop leader or co-leader. Need more information? Fill out an Interest Form and we'll get in touch with you.
  
  
• Go to Camp
  No matter what your interest and how far away from home you want to go, we have a camp for you. Choose from summer day camps (go home every night) and resident camps (stay overnight).
  
  
• Come to an Event
  Become a member by filling out the Girl Registration Form and mailing it with the $12 annual membership dues to the closest service center. Then attend one of the events listed below or choose one out of our Program Guide.

 Discovery Programs

Discovery Programs introduce Girl Scouting to girls through science, healthy living, literature and self esteem programs. To bring this program to your school or community, contact Tyler Tronson at (800) 338-5248 x6832 or ttronson@girlscoutsosw.org.

 Girl's Night Out

Try Girl Scouts at our monthly Girl's Night Out event for girls in grades K-12. Enjoy themed crafts, games and a snack. Plus, bring a friend and you'll get a special patch! All events are at the Eugene Service Center (1577 Pearl St, Ste 300) from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Current Girl Scouts are always welcome to attend! Upcoming events:

o May 18 - She and Me Bingo Night and more! Bring your favorite female adult and share the night playing bingo (with prizes!) and making crafts. Registration deadline: Tuesday, May 15.

o June 22- He and Me Game night and more !  Bring your favorite male adult and share the night playing games and maybe even making a craft! Registration deadline: Tuesday, June 19
