Daisy Dash

One day. One hundred challenges.
Be a kid with us!

Sign up for Daisy Dash, an adventure challenge benefitting Girl Scouts of Oregon and SW Washington!

Join us on September 9, 2023, for the first annual Daisy Dash. Assemble your team and play from anywhere! The competition will be tough, but we know you can get creative and keep the points coming your way. Plus, you'll be supporting local Girl Scouts and Girl Scout programs throughout Oregon and SW Washington while you're at it! That's already a win.

How it works:
  • Teams of five will race to complete as many challenges as they can before the game clock runs out.
  • Capture evidence of completed challenges with photos or video, and upload it to the game app to earn points and win prizes.
  • There will be dozens of fun challenges to choose from, including outdoor experiences, creative arts, STEM, and more!
  • Prizes will be awarded throughout the day, and you can earn extra bonus points for going above and beyond.
Anyone can play!

Daisy Dash is open to all Girl Scouts, friends, family and the community!

Game Play: September 9, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Celebration and Award Ceremony to follow at 6 p.m.

Give Like a Girl Scout
Give Like a Girl Scout

Every year, Girl Scouts throughout Oregon and SW Washington invest in our communities to make the world a better place. It’s time we invest in them too!

Join us to lift up the next generation of women and help them find their own pathways to success. Then, watch girls learn, grow, discover—and soar to new heights—with the pride of knowing you helped make it possible.

Join the Give Like a Girl Scout campaign and help us raise funds that change the world.

What: The goal of the Give Like a Girl Scout campaign is to raise $125,000 for our council. We’re looking for 150 people to be champions for girls and help us reach our goal.

How: There are three ways to participate:

  1. Give. Yes, it’s that simple. Your donation, at any level, supports girls in gaining the tools they need to meet today’s problems with bold solutions and create a better, brighter tomorrow.

  2. Become a Champion: Create a fundraising page, share your story, and encourage others to give. Check out our toolkit for instructions to set up your page and sample templates for making your asks, including sample emails, and social media tools. Then just share your page via social media and email. A suggested timeline is provided in the toolkit to take advantage of special dates like Giving Tuesday, your birthday, and upcoming holidays.

  3. Become a Champion: Host a house party. Your party can be a lunch, brunch, book party, or even a hike—whatever works best for you! We suggest setting your fundraising goal for house parties no lower than $500, especially if you are providing snacks. Our toolkit has all the information and resources you need to get started and host a successful party.

Know someone that would make a great champion? Please let us know.

When: This evergreen campaign launches in November 2022 and allows for maximum flexibility for you to fit this into your schedule AND take advantage of unique dates and events that will help you reach your fundraising goal.

Next Steps: This is a team effort! We need as many adults to participate in this campaign as possible to reach our goals for girls. Plus, the more we share our collective voice around the giving season, the more top of mind we’ll be for those interested in making a difference before the end of the year. Staff, volunteers, board members, and even alumnae will have fundraising pages.

In Honor of Marie Lamfrom

Marie Lamfrom served in World War I as a nurse, working on the Russian front at the age of 18. At the end of the war, she returned home to Germany and married Paul, then had three daughters. As the Nazis rose to power, Marie and her family fled to Portland, Oregon. They purchased a small hat company, which later grew to become Columbia Sportswear.
