The first of a new, in-person, two-part training series called Girl Scouts Inside & Out. This new series will replace Day Trips and Indoor Overnights in the required adult training progression. The course trains adults to assist girls with the planning and implementation of safe, fun, and successful meetings and short outings close to the meeting place. You will also learn more about troop logistics, readiness and progression, and how to keep everything you do with your troop girl-led. Most importantly, youll get to interact and learn from other leaders and hear real examples of solutions to some of the challenges faced when first leaving the meeting place with Girl Scouts.
Participant Information
This training will take place in-person at the GSOSW Portland Service Center. The full address can be found in the "My Events" section of a participant's myGS account after registering.
This training is to be taken within 3 months of receiving a troop number.
Volunteers who have already taken Day Trips training are not required to retake this training; however, they are more than welcome to sign up.
GSOSW volunteer trainings are adult, member-only and council-only, events. Please make other arrangements for your children.

It is highly recommended that leaders who have not already completed Grade Level training take the following online courses, found in gsLearn, before attending this training:

Registration closes November 29, 2023, a few days before the activity is scheduled. Request for cancellation/refund must be submitted via email to Answers@girlscoutsosw.org by this date. No refunds will be given after the cancellation deadline.
GSOSW reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If GSOSW cancels an event, registrants will be notified and offered a full refund.
