Join Alaska Airlines for a day of fun and get excited to explore aviation careers in your community! Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors can complete their STEM Career Exploration badge (badge not included), and earn steps toward additional STEM badges.

Registration for this event will be hosted by Alaska Airlines, and opens Monday, March 10. This is a community event open to the public to which Girl Scouts are invited. See the Alaska Airlines Aviation Day landing page for details and be sure to select the Portland event. 

Participant Information

  • This is a community event, open to the public, to which Girl Scouts are invited.
  • This event is open to Girl Scouts 11 years of age or older.
  • Girls must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or troop leader AND adults are required to register and pay if applicable. This is not a drop-off activity.
  • If you are traveling to attend Aviation Day, lodging will be provided at Camp Mountaindale on May 10. Please fill out the Mountaindale Lodging Request Form to reserve your spot. Spaces are limited!

Badge and/or Patch Information

  • Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors can complete their STEM Career Exploration badge (badge not included). 
  • Cadettes can earn steps toward the Showcasing Robots, and Night Owl badges.
  • Seniors can earn steps toward the Programming Robots, Showcasing Robots, and Cyber Security badges.
  • Ambassadors can earn steps toward the Programming Robots, Showcasing Robots, and College Knowledge badges. 


Adult Training Requirements
At least one adult must have completed either Girl Scouts Inside & Out Parts 1 & 2 OR Day Trips and Indoor Overnights. There are no adult training requirements for those chaperoning a single girl or Juliette.
