When girls participate in Girl Scout STEM programs, they benefit in four important ways:

STEM Interest: Girls are excited about STEM subjects and want to learn more about them.

Astronomy Club

Hailing on all frequencies! We are calling all the astronomers, astronauts, and aeronautical engineers out there! The Girl Scout Astronomy Club is ready for take-off and is looking for all space enthusiasts to join the fun! The Astronomy Club features girl-led virtual monthly meetings, virtual monthly calls with Goddard Space Center Expert Lou Mayo, in-person club activities, a girl-written bimonthly newsletter, and special space events!

Cost: $45 per Girl Scout. If you have multiple Girl Scouts in the same household the cost is $45 for the first Girl Scout and $30 for each additional Girl Scout.

Who: All Girl Scouting levels can join the club!

STEM Club

NEW! STEM Club

What's the STEM Club?
The STEM Club is an all-new club that just formed here at Girl Scouts! We'll have hands-on STEM experiments like learning about DNA, discovering the vast world of probability, building robots, dissecting flowers and so much more! The STEM Club aims to foster STEM interest and real-life skills.

When and where does the club meet?
The STEM Club will be meeting in person in the Beaverton area twice a month on Fridays.

Who can join?
The club is open to all Girl Scouts, but is aimed at Brownies and Juniors interested in learning more about STEM! Older Girl Scouts interested in helping teach about STEM are also encouraged to reach out to see how they can participate!

How much does it cost?
It costs $45 to join for the year, and this cost stays with the STEM Club to help cover experiment supplies.

November is STEM Month!

Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington is excited to celebrate all things STEM throughout the year, particularly during STEM Month! With STEM Month comes our annual STEM Day, a celebration of all things STEM. Join us at the biggest Girl Scout event of the year!

STEM Day

Join fellow Girl Scouts to celebrate all things STEM! STEM Day has become an annual tradition where Girl Scouts can get hands-on with science, tech, engineering, and math.

STEM Day is open to current Girl Scouts and non-members, friends, and family.

Pi Day

Pi Day is March 14 (3.14)!

Get ready to celebrate the circular sensation that is pi on March 14! Each year, Girl Scouts can earn a special Pi Day patch by participating in any Pi Day activity during March. Girl Scouts who participate year after year will eventually be able to make a full pie with their patches.

Girl Scouts can earn their Pi Day patch by attending a Pi Day event in their community, hosting their own Pi Day event, completing the Pi Day Celebration Challenge, or celebrating Pi Day in any way they choose.
