Cookie Share
Cookie customers can opt to donate their purchased cookies through the Girl Scout Cookie Share program. Purchases of cookies that are donated through this program are tax deductible. Most donated cookies are distributed to seniors and people in need throughout the region via partnerships with social service agencies, including the Meals on Wheels People, Marion-Polk Food Share, and Clark County Food Bank.
“Girls learn so much by participating in the Girl Scout Cookie Program—from goal setting to money management—and with the Cookie Share program, they also learn first-hand the power of working together with others to give back to their community," said Shannon Evers, Chief Executive Officer at Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington. "It's heartwarming to think about the joy these cookies will bring to local seniors, and our girls are truly proud of their part in that."
Girl Scout troops can choose their own Cookie Share recipient, making the program's philanthropic effort even more personal for their troop. Girls have chosen fire stations, military personnel, shelters, veterans, and other community organizations.
Throughout the 2026 cookie season, thousands of Girl Scouts from 38 counties participated in this special program, donating more than 37,000 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies, which were distributed to various social service agencies throughout the region.
