The USA Archery Level 1 Instructor certification course, which certifies participants to lead archery programs for three years, provides graduates with the necessary tools to maintain a high level of safety both on and off the archery range for camps and beginner archery programs. Participants will learn about range safety, range setup, the steps of shooting, equipment and repair, programs, and lesson plans, and will be well prepared to teach beginner archery programs to people of all ages and abilities in various disciplines.
- This course is a part of the Whispering Winds June Training Palooza and occurs at the same time as some other trainings that are being offered. Attendees should view this Training Palooza chart to confirm that they are not signing up for trainings that conflict with one another. If you've accidentally double-booked your time, please email answers@girlscoutsosw.org and we can help rearrange your training schedule.
- Overnight lodging is available to participants on both Friday and Saturday evenings at no additional cost. Lodging options include rustic cabins or space to pitch your own tent. A confirmation email with additional details and overnight lodging options will be sent a few days before the Training-Palooza. Food is not provided for this training, but refrigeration is available.

Participant Information
- This is a blended learning class with an online portion and an in-person portion. Participants must successfully pass the USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Certification online course (it will take about 4 hours to complete the online portion) before completing the practical course to officially receive a USA Archery Level 1 Instructor certificate of completion.
- The in-person portion of the training will take place in person from 9 am to 1 pm on June 1, 2024. This training will take place at Camp Whispering Winds in Philomath, OR.
- A confirmation email with additional details will be sent before the training. Please check your spam folder and email answers@girlscoutsosw.org if you do not receive access to the online portion at least 1 week before the in-person portion.
- This training is a part of the Whispering Winds June Training Palooza.
- GSOSW volunteer trainings are adult, member-only, and council-only, events. Children of attendees may not accompany adults to this training, please ensure alternate arrangements have been made.
