Join us for this one-day Wilderness Hiking Course! Gain the skills needed to explore the outdoors and learn how to lead others safely outside. Spend your morning in the classroom and you afternoon on the trail learning about safety, proper gear, and equipment, the Leave No Trace ethic, and how to build independence in yourself and other Girl Scouts. You will create and take home three outdoor kits to help you on your future adventures. Take the first step in your journey to becoming a Wilderness Hiking Champion!
This course is a part of the Whispering Winds June Training
Palooza and occurs at the same time as some other trainings that are
being offered. Attendees should view this Training
Palooza chart to confirm that they are not signing up for
trainings that conflict with one another. If you've accidentally
double-booked your time, please email answers@girlscoutsosw.org
and we can help rearrange your training schedule.

Please bring snack, water bottle, and sack lunch.
Supplies
Supplies provided. Please dress for the weather and layers,
wear comfortable shoes to hike in, and bring a day pack. Please bring
water, snack, and bagged lunch.

cancellation/refund or transfer must be submitted via email to answers@girlscoutsosw.org
by this date. A refund less the council administrative fee is
available.
GSOSW reserves the right to cancel an event
due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the
event non-viable. If GSOSW cancels an event, registrants will be
notified and offered a full refund.
