Required Training for Troop Treasurers

Thank you for choosing to volunteer as a Troop Treasurer with the Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Setting realistic goals, creating budgets, and keeping accurate records are what troop treasurers are all about! Whether you’re working with girls, or maintaining the troop’s finances, your organizational skills and attention to detail will help your girls learn how to bring their plans to life.

Troop Treasurers are troop bank account signers and have accepted the responsibility of management of girl funds in compliance with GSOSW policies; including depositing troop funds in a timely manner, reviewing monthly statements for appropriate transactions, avoiding overdraft and keeping accurate records of the troop’s financial history.

Please contact your SU volunteer team to get connected with the treasurer for your service unit about next steps.

Below are the training requirements for Troop Treasurers.
