Celebrate all things STEM this April during GSOSW's STEM Month 2021! April will be packed full of ways for Girl Scouts to dive into STEM and explore what they're interested in, while challenging themselves to learn and grow. GSOSW will offer a variety of virtual events, at-home challenges, and fun opportunities for participation all month long. Discover all of the opportunities below and get ready to celebrate STEM!
Exploration Live Series
Tune in to GSOSW's Facebook page every Thursday in April to meet a STEM professional! In this fun and interactive Facebook Live series, Girl Scouts can ask questions all about what it's like to grow up to be a STEM professional, and how they can get involved in the STEM fields that interest them. STEM Month Challenge
Girl Scouts can explore STEM throughout the month of April by taking on the Girl Scout STEM Month Challenge sponsored by First Tech Federal Credit Union! To earn a special STEM Month patch, complete the following steps:
- Seek out STEM in your life.
- Try something new.
- Explore STEM careers.
- Make a difference in your community.
Once you complete all four steps, fill out this STEM Month Challenge Submission Form to tell us about your experience, and we'll send you a STEM Month Challenge patch! The submission form is open until May 31, 2021.
Dive into STEM and wrap up STEM Month 2021 with a STEM Month Experience Kit! This self-guided experience kit includes everything you'll need to complete five activities, each highlighting a different area of STEM. Each kit will come with an activity packet to help guide participants through each activity, along with some fun and special items to help commemorate STEM Month! Girl Scouts can complete each activity from the comfort of home, away from a screen, and in their own time. Purchase one today and jump into a variety of fun hands-on STEM activities that you can do on your own, share with your family or virtually with your troop!
All activities will be self-guided and there will not be a virtual event attached to this experience kit. GSOSW will begin shipping all experience kits on April 20, 2021. Girl Scouts can expect to receive their experience kit by April 30 at the latest. Register today!
