Celebrate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math at our annual STEM Day! STEM Day is an expo-style event with over 70 booths to discover. Every Girl Scout will earn their STEM Career Exploration badge, and all participants will receive a STEM Day fun patch! STEM Day is for everyone, so be sure to invite a friend along!

Registration will open on July 15 at 9 am and will close November 2 at 11:59 pm. Cancellations requested via email to answers@gsosw.org by November 2 will receive a 50% refund for the cost of each canceled ticket. Cancellation requests made after November 2 will NOT receive a refund.

Participant Information

  • STEM Day is on November 8, 2025 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm at the Oregon State Fair and Expo Center (2330 17th St. NE Salem, OR 97301). 
  • A detailed confirmation email will be sent to all registrants within a week of the event. This will include all of the information you will need to attend.
  • Youth must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or troop leader AND adults are required to register and pay. This is not a drop-off activity.
  • This event is open to current Girl Scout members, their friends and family, as well as community members interested in all that STEM Day with Girl Scouts has to offer. Invite a friend to join you! Not yet a member? This event is a great way to try Girl Scouts-after selecting a girl ticket, choose "non-member" when registering for this event.
  • Registering a male sibling or adult family friend? Select a "Family Guest" ticket for them.

Price
$16.00/youth
$16.00/adult

In order to apply your Girl Scout's program credits to the balance for an event registration, please select to pay with program credits during registration. When processing program credit payments, staff will automatically use the oldest program credit card the Girl has available by default. If you would like a different program credit card to be used, please email answers@gsosw.org. Our council can only accept program credit payments from GSOSW members.

Badge and/or Patch Information
A fun patch is included in the cost of this event and will be provided to every youth and adult ticketholder at the event.

Girl Scouts will complete a variety of badge requirements at this event. Badges earned are not included with ticket, but will be available for purchase at the GSOSW Shop booth or online.

A post-event email will include any badge connections made during the experience.

Food

  • Concession stands will be open for food purchases at STEM Day.
  • No outside food is allowed inside the venue. 
  • Additional details about concession stands and food will be shared in a confirmation email closer to the event. 

Supplies

  • This event takes place inside, but please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.  

Adult Training Requirements

  • Attending as a troop? Note that attending with any Girl Scout other than your own qualifies as troop attendance and means you must follow Safety Ratio and at least one adult must have completed either Girl Scouts Inside & Out Parts 1 & 2 OR Day Trips Training.
  • There are no adult training requirements for those chaperoning a single girl or Juliette.
  • There are no training requirements for those attending as a family unit. 

Registration, Cancellation & Refund Information

  • Registration for this event closes November 2, 2025 at 11:59 pm. 
  • Cancellations requested via email to answers@gsosw.org by November 2 will receive a 50% refund for the cost of each canceled ticket. Cancellation requests made after November 2 will NOT receive a refund. 
  • Transfer requests (switching registraiton to another Girl Scout), will be honored if requested via email by November 4. 
  • Registration for this event is hosted by Girl Scouts. Please email answers@gsosw.org before the registration deadline (November 2) for assistance.
