Join us for STEM DAY on Saturday, November 7 at the Oregon Fairgrounds and Expo Center in Salem, OR.
Celebrate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math at our annual STEM Day! STEM Day is an expo-style event with over 70 booths to discover. Every Girl Scout will earn their STEM Career Exploration badge, and all participants will receive a STEM Day fun patch! STEM Day is for everyone, so be sure to invite a friend along! Participant Information
- This is a Girl Scout activity for registered members, their family and friends. Any male attendees under the age of 18 should be registered via a "Family Guest" ticket.
- Girls must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or troop leader AND adults are required to register and pay. This is not a drop-off activity.

Children under 4- FREE with adult registration
In order to apply your Girl Scout's Program Credits to the balance for an event registration, please select to pay with Program Credits during registration. When processing Program Credit payments, staff will automatically use the oldest Program Credit card the Girl has available by default. If you would like a different card to be used, please email answers@gsosw.org. Our council can only accept Program Credit payments from GSOSW members.
Badge and/or Patch Information
- Fun patch is included.
- Girl Scouts will complete a variety of badge requirements at this event.
- A post-event email will include badge connections made during the experience.
Food
- Please note that activity stations will close for a lunch break from noon-1 p.m.
- Bring snacks, water, or a sack lunch to eat in the stands surrounding the event floor or outside.
- Onsite concessions will also be available for purchase.
Attending as a troop? Follow the safety ratios listed in Volunteer Essentials. Note: attending with any girl other than your own qualifies you as a Girl Scout group that needs to follow ratio requirements.
Adult Training Requirements
- If attending as a troop, at least one adult per troop must have completed Before You Leave the Meeting Place (formerly Inside & Out Part 1).
- There are no adult training requirements for those chaperoning a single girl or Juliette.
Registration, Cancellation & Refund Information
- Registration closes on November 1, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
- Registration for this event is hosted by Girl Scouts - Please email answers@gsosw.org before the registration deadline for assistance.
- Request for cancellation/refund must be submitted via email to answers@gsosw.org by November 1, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. A refund less the administrative cancellation fee ($11.00) is available if requested by this date.
- Request for transfer (applying registration to another Girl Scout) must be submitted via email to answers@gsosw.org by November 1, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
- GSOSW reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If GSOSW cancels an event, registrants will be notified and offered a full refund.
