This workshop helps Girl Scout volunteers build the confidence and skills needed to lead engaging STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) experiences for girls of all grade levels. For those who may feel intimidated by leading STEM badges or activities, this session will focus on overcoming that hesitation by introducing practical approaches and accessible resources. Participants will explore hands-on activities, learn strategies for encouraging curiosity and problem-solving, and discover ways to make STEM approachable, inclusive, and fun within their troops. The session will also highlight Girl Scout STEM badges, program resources, and techniques for asking thought-provoking questions that challenge and inspire girls while helping them build critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork skills through real-world STEM exploration.
At the end of this workshop, all adult participants will be given vouchers to claim free STEM badges for the girl scouts in their troop!
