Outdoor Day Camps

Girl Scouts in Oregon and SW Washington can choose from 18 different week-long day camp adventures for summer 2022! Day camps are planned and run by dedicated volunteers from the Girl Scout community, and each day camp has its own program and culture.

All GSOSW day camps give girls and volunteers the opportunity to build skills and have fun as Girl Scouts. Day camps are open to all girls entering first grade and up, regardless of experience level. Day Camp Forms

If you are registering for a day camp that uses paper registration forms, the following forms make up your registration packet. If you would like to register for a day camp that uses online registration, click on the day camp’s name under “Find a Day Camp” to link to the registration form.

Day camp registrations are handled by each day camp’s volunteer team—please do not mail or fax these forms to a Girl Scout Service Center.

Volunteer at Day Camp

The magic of day camp is possible because of caring adults like you. Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington's day camps are 100% planned and run by volunteers. Are you ready to make summer special for girls in your community? Sign up to volunteer at a day camp!

All day camp volunteers need to be registered Girl Scout members for the current Girl Scout membership year, complete a background check, and complete GSOSW Foundations online training. Additional Girl Scout trainings may be required based on your volunteer position at day camp.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend day camp?

Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington programs are open to all girls regardless of race, color, ethnicity, creed, national origin, socioeconomic status and/or ability level. Camp is open to all girls entering grades 1-12 in the fall of 2022—no prior Girl Scout experience required!

Some camps offer Widget, Tagalong, and/or boys’ units for the children of volunteers who are not eligible to be campers due to age or gender. This option is for the children of volunteers only and is not available at all camps—check each camp’s detailed information.

When is day camp?

Girl Scout day camps throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington will run from June to August. Most camps run for one week, Monday to Friday, and many offer an optional overnight for one night during the week. Specific dates and locations of each day camp are available on this page under “Find a Day Camp.”

When is the day camp registration period?

Most day camps will open registration in early March—please check the details for the day camps you’re interested in to learn how to register. Registration will close for each camp depending on the camp’s dates or when the camp is full to capacity.

How do I register for day camp?

Some day camps offer online registration, some offer paper registration, and some offer both! Information about each camp's registration process is available through the “Find a Day Camp” section of this page—click on the camp for which you would like to register to get registration information and instructions. Can’t find the information you’re looking for? We can help! Email us at answers@girlscoutsosw.org.

I’m having a problem with online registration. What do I do?

Contact the registrar or director of the day camp; the contact information for each camp is available on this page. If you do not hear back within five business days, email us at answers@girlscoutsosw.org.

What forms do I need to fill out for day camp?

Day camp forms are available on this page under “Day Camp Forms.” If you are registering for a day camp that uses an online registration system, the forms will be completed as part of the online registration process and do not need to be completed again.

My Girl Scout has special needs. Can she attend day camp?

Reasonable accommodations can be made for many girls. Please contact the day camp volunteer team for the camp you’re interested in prior to registering to determine what accommodations are necessary and if a specific day camp is the right fit for your Girl Scout. Contact information for each camp is available in the “Find a Day Camp” section of this page. If you are having trouble getting in touch with a day camp team, please contact us at answers@girlscoutsosw.org for assistance.

Who staffs day camps?

Day camps are run entirely by volunteers! Every volunteer is a Girl Scout member, has passed a background check, and has received safety training. Each camp has a volunteer health supervisor who is certified in first aid and CPR or is a trained medical professional.

This sounds fun—can adults come too?

Yes! Contact the day camp your family is interested in to find out more information about volunteering at camp! Volunteering isn’t limited to mom and dad—aunts, uncles, grandparents, and family friends are welcome to volunteer. If you’re interested in volunteering at day camp but aren’t sure which camp fits your needs, schedule, or interests, fill out the Volunteer Interest Form in the “Volunteer at Day Camp” section of this page.
