Outdoor Day

Adventure is calling! Whether you're a seasoned explorer or a beginner, Outdoor Day has something for everyone. Enjoy guided nature walks, test your aim at the archery range, build outdoor skills, and participate in fun outdoor activities led by our outdoor program partners.

Parking is limited at Camp Mountaindale—please carpool to Outdoor Day if possible!

Archery and rock climbing wall for Brownies and older toggle arrow

Brownies and older will be able to participate at a 24-foot rock climbing wall at Outdoor Day! Please note that a caregiver must sign a waiver for their child to participate at the rock wall with Metro Mountain Climbing.

Troops attending Outdoor Day: Leaders should print the waiver, collect caregiver signatures for each Girl Scout who may want to participate, and bring the waiver with your group to Outdoor Day.
Caregivers attending Outdoor Day can sign the waiver on-site.

Please note: Daisy Girl Scouts will not be able to participate in archery or the rock climbing wall (see Girl Scouts Safety Activity Checkpoints). Daisies will be able to use slingshots at the archery range and participate in all other Outdoor Day activities!

What Girl Scout badges can we work on at Outdoor Day? toggle arrow

All attendees will receive an Outdoor Day 2026 fun patch. Review the Outdoor Day Online Program (PDF) to see all the badge and patch steps you can work toward completing at Outdoor Day.

No. Attendees are encouraged to bring a snack and water bottle.

Program Partner Assistant Applications - Application Period Closed toggle arrow

The Outdoor Program Partner Assistant application is closed. Submissions are currently being reviewed. Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors who applied will be notified if they are accepted to assist at Outdoor Day by Friday, March 13, 2026.
