Emily noticed how difficult it is for women living in poverty to access hygiene products, primarily due to economic barriers. She and her team conducted a hygiene drive and assembled the needed items into kits for local shelters to distribute to women in need. She created and donated over 400 kits. Additionally, she designed a program to teach the community about the needs of unhoused people, especially as it relates to feminine hygiene items, and how to run a drive to support those needs. One of her trained volunteers will offer the educational program regularly to other groups.
