Elizabeth addressed the social stigma against impoverished people. She trained and encouraged people to get to know humans and not labels. This was done through an educational presentation and conversations held during weekly volunteer sessions over several months, during which hundreds of sandwiches were made using donated food. The sandwiches were delivered to struggling individuals through Transition Projects in Portland. She recruited an individual to continue the project.
Elizabeth is an Emerald Circle Scholarship recipient. Congratulations, Elizabeth!
