Flag Retirement

Clairlynne is passionate about improving respect for our country’s flag. She decided that her county needed a dedicated place to conduct proper flag retirements. Working with the local parks department, she arranged for the construction of a flag retirement pit located near a veterans memorial in the local cemetery. Clairlynne also conducted public demonstrations of the proper way to retire a flag and created instructional materials for those wishing to retire their own flags.
Clairlynne is an Emerald Circle Scholarship recipient. Congratulations, Clairlynne!
